Frozen Hamburger Patties Project (10 pounds)

I just love having frozen homemade burgers ready to go in the freezer.
 I know fresh is better,
but most days life just won't allow it.
I can make 36 patties out of a 10 pound chub of 90% hamburger,
with not much more effort than to make burgers up for one meal.
Half the time is cleaning up anyway :o)

You will want to get out all your items before you touch your meat to avoid contamination or unneeded washing of hands . You will need a huge bowl, 4 dinner plates, a  one third  cup measuring cup, and sandwich baggies (36) opened and ready to slip patties into. Also fill your sink with hot sudsy water. (to wash your hands without getting soap and faucet dirty.)

In your gigantic bowl add:
10 pounds of ground beef.
Take a minute to break it up into about egg size pieces. Then sprinkle the following seasonings over the top:
2 envelopes onion soup mix,
2 tsp seasoning salt,
2 tsp regular salt,
1 tsp pepper,
1 cup Parmesan cheese (optional) but YUMMY.
then have fun squishing :o)

After it is all mixed, scoop out 1/3cup of mixture with your scoop and roll it into a big ball. Repeat. You should get 36 hamburger balls... if not, take some away from/or add some to each until you have 36.

Shape your patties and put it into a sandwich baggie. After all are done add 10 patties (2 layers) to a gallon size freezer bag, remove air, seal and freeze. You can pull out frozen patties one at a time or a whole bag for a family meal or party :o) I cook these frozen if we are in a rush on low in a pan on the stove top, but most often I take them and put them in the fridge the night before to get them cooked on the grill. Mmm its not often, but sometimes I just want a good burger. With lettuce, BBQ sauce, avocado and pico included. Yum.
