Homemade Double Dave's Pizza Rolls

I  LOVE Double Dave's Pizza Rolls! LOVE them, not that I should mind you, but sometimes it's not worth eating for a day in my mind so I can have them :o)  When my oldest were little, we would go there often for lunch with daddy and get the buffet. One day I was there while they were making them and stood studying with my gears spinning thinking such a yummy thing to eat should not look that easy to make. To make them even easier to make, I use frozen pizza dough balls from the concession stand at Sam's club. So amazing and yummy!

As a family project we make a huge amount of these and have them for dinner that night (with a big salad) and bag them up for yummy lunch items. This recipe makes 24 pizza rolls and a pan of bread sticks (recipe posted)! All for about $4.50 for this HUGE meal! (not including a salad)

Pizza Rolls
2 Sam's club frozen Pizza balls (thawed and raised)
Flour
18 or 24 Slices of Mozzarella cheese (depending on if you make 6 in each or 8.)
Pepperoni
Olive oil
Ranch Dressing & Pizza Sauce

Start by adding a handful of flour to your counter top and spreading it into a foot wide circle. Divide each Dough ball in half shape each into a ball. Dust with flour and shape into a 6 inch flat circle with your hands. Set all but one aside. For 3 of your dough portions will be for pizza rolls and one for Bread sticks (see next post). Roll your dough into a 14 inch circle. Place the 8 slices of cheese evenly at the edge of the dough. Put 6 or 8 slices of pepperoni on each peace of cheese. Slice 6 portions with your pizza cutter. fold ends over pepperoni (sometimes you need to stretch it.) Then Roll your pizza rolls by stretching them to make the dough thinner as shown in the picture. This allows the do to seal when so the cheese does not escape. repeat with they others, adding flour as needed to keep dough from sticking. Place All Pizza rolls on oiled cookie sheet and brush lightly with olive oil (this makes it crispy). Bake in a 400' oven for about 20 minutes until golden. Serve with ranch and warmed pizza sauce for dipping. MMMMM!
NOTE: This picture shows 8 portions. I have changed now to do only 6 per half of pizza recipe. it helps seal the cheese in better.

Serve with a salad and breadsticks
