Wild Chicken Stew Freezer meal

This soup came about because my hubby really doesn't like chicken noodle soup. He will eat it if I make it, which I do but he "would just prefer if it had potatoes in it instead of noodles" he said. This soup is super tasty with wild rice, potatoes and other veggies. So very yummy! And the best bonus... it can be made in the crock pot or on the stove top, and you can prep most of it for a freezer meal too.

The freezer meal pictured above is a full recipe. Note that these meals and lists below are for 1/2 recipes to fit all family sizes. Please see my story to learn why I do this.

NOTE: The preferred method of cooking this is in the crock pot. To cook this on the stove top add all (including COOKED WILD RICE) Reserving the peas and flour until the end. Cook on medium -low heat until the veggies and chicken are done (about 20 minutes). Remove chicken, shred and return to pot. Add peas and cook for 5 more minutes. Wild rice takes extra time to cook and by adding it cooked, you do not over cook your veggies. on way to get around this if you do not plan to cook it in the crock pot is add COOKED rice to your freezer meal kit.
